In the course of researching competitor's current styles in the category of "Loungewear" these were some of the pics that came up:
OMG - no, no, no!!! This prompts an open letter:
Dear Amazon;
The value of categorizing items on one's website should not be underestimated. It makes your webpage easier to navigate and more user friendly. .
"Loungewear" is indeed a category. It represents comfortable, pyjama type items that could be worn outdoors/in public should the need arise (EG: midnight chocolate seeking expeditions, neighbour borrowing milk, visiting plumber etc). It is a category that can be described as a cross between sportswear and sleepwear.
Some of the items placed on your website under "Clothing>Lounge & Nightwear> Loungewear" should be in the "Swimwear - as modelled by people with facelifts" or "Lingerie" section.
In order not to frustrate users of your site, I would suggest that you ensure that items are properly categorized in future. The eyes cannot un-see once they have seen.
Kind regards,
Miss Pants

Things to do this weekend...
If I was in Cape Town - you would find me here on Saturday:
http://www.capetownmagazine.com/events/The-Annual-Breedeskloof-Soetes-and-Soup-Festival/2011-07-23/11_37_53405
And on Sunday I'd probably do this:

But as I am in London - I am going to do this:

I wonder what the "Silent Disco" is going to be like! Ha ha ha!

Spirit Hoods
Spirit Hoods... WTF! I am either getting old and out of touch with fashion - or I am just wise enough to know that this is a bad idea (for anyone over the age of 10)
No offence to those who love and wear them. But seriously. Ask a guy. He will tell you straight.

On the way out...
I realise that my Union-Jack-Cushion-Obsession (which started in October 2010) needs to be overs soon. Enough is enough really.
My final tribute to the flag will be the one I make for #1's room in Greyton - but it was preceded by an effort to give my new room a more personal touch! I moved into a flatshare (!) at the beginning of this month and so far so good. My room is the teeniest, but it's mine (ish!)
What's cool about living in a flatshare? Quite a lot so far:

What's cool about living in a flatshare? Quite a lot so far:
- You get to meet more people
- There is someone to cook for
- Someone to share a bottle of wine with so you don't look like an alcoholic
- On-hand fashion advice
- Someone to mention to that you are going for a run, so if you don't, you look like a loser

Baby, it's cold outside...
While the skies start to match my pallor (grey) - I am beginning to think about essential additions to my winter wardrobe. It strikes me as odd to be thinking about all things winter - when I have only JUST begun to enjoy my summer purchases...
My top 3 must finds are:
1. A Cape
They featured strongly in FW2010/2011 but I think this is the year to hit it as hopefully most of the high street retailers will have a version of sorts...
2. A good pair of versatile boots
I need a pair that I can dress up or dress down... but I like the look of these
3. Anything with Polka Dots
Like Marc Jacobs, I am obsessed! I especially like the oversized dots or play with colours...

And I only want PINK M&M's!
We've all heard about outrageous popstar/moviestar demands for a bowl of M&M's (candy coated sweeties) but with no red ones...And some poor lackey having to pick the offending colour/s out of the bowl!
WELL! At M&M World in Leicester Square; you can select any colour you want!
One of the 1001 reasons to visit Mandy ;-)

Pleated bleat!
I am OBSESSED with pleated skirts at the moment. Brace yourselves Capetonians, it may be 7 degrees now - but come summer, I am sure you will find yourselves hunting down the perfect pleated skirt too!
Whistles did unquestionably the best one. The best!
Although they look good super short or maxi-length, I like the 1940's mid calf length the best.
Would the gods of fashion please send me to one that costs less that GBP10? Preferably in fuchsia.
Thanks ever so much!
