Chaps,
We all know that I am not exactly the poster girl for self control; especially when it comes to things like chocolate, bubbles and *cough* tequila.
But; I think, as an adult, one has to take responsibility for the consequences of not being in control and not expect others to regulate things on your behalf. For example: you can't blame the person who bought you all the tequilas on Saturday night or the person who took photos of you looking worse for wear as a result. It's all about choices...
"What brings this up, Mandy-Poo?" I imagine you asking; well, when reading an article in The Metro this morning, there was mention of the British government getting involved in the fight against obesity, by getting companies who make Mars Bars, Coca-Cola, etc to reduce the calories in their products.
The Mars Bar, for example, has a whopping 25% of the recommended daily calories for an adult women.
Hooooooooooooollllllldddd up a minute! GOVERNMENT getting involved to reduce calories in a Mars Bar? Surely not! What are they suggesting is removed from this beloved choccie? The caramel layer? The biscuity goodness?
It's ridiculous.
Fatties can just eat less and exercise more. If I want a full fat coca cola instead of a diet one, that should be my choice as a reasonably functioning, tax-paying member of society.
Over and out.
A Ranting Moo
