I am currently attending a trade show in Paris showcasing the Amoralia Autumn/Winter 2012 range and particularly enjoying all the pain au chocolat for breakfast!
The show is called "Playtime" and exhibitor's products include maternity wear, childrens wear and baby/children accessories.
I am feeling super inspired with lots of business ideas of my own :-) There are so many cool products at the show - one that caught my eye being a quirky printed T shirt and babygrow collection with cute sayings...
Cold Turkey is never a good thing... Due to recent events, I am a now firm believer in the "everything in moderation" school of thought.
Let's look at the cold hard facts: When one goes from this...
...to this! It is inevitable that some serious retail therapy is going to be required. Fact is: I am miserable being back, away from my friends and family (and the well priced tasty vino). My recent "none shall pass" approach to wine and shopping was a SERIOUS lapse in judgement, and as a result - this happended:
Oh, and this:
I obvs NEEDED every single one of the above items - AND their purchase cheered me up considerably. Going forward; I shall indeed endevour to limit my spending on frivolous trinkets and alcohol, but not entirely as that is just stupid and a recipe for disaster.
A coffee cup sleeve from Jimmy Choo for only $165...
Bargain!!!! Ha ha ha ha ha... some people have too much money. If I had $165 to spend (roughly R1320) I would rather buy: 11 bottles of Steenberg 1682 bubbly
Or something pretty from Swarovski - like this:
For only $125 - I could still squeeze in a bottle of bubbles <-- a girl has to have priorities, right?
It's not often I recommend a movie; I am not that much of a connoisseur to expose anyone to my taste levels (GLARING EG: I have watched "Love Actually" eight times and still cry while watching certain scenes even though I know what's going to happen...) but I will definitely recommend this one!
Funny, clever, original - the hero doesn't have a 6 pack and the use of the f-word, though non-gratuitous is extensive. This one's a goodie! Another point in favour of this movie, is it was never shamelessly promoted via the media, which means it must be good, right?
This is going to get scientific chaps, so those of you in the mood for Friday brain freeze should read no further...
I would like to use the recent breakup of Katy Perry and Russell Brand to remind one and all of the important use of ranking when choosing a partner. It's gonna get complicated, especially when we bear in mind the "multiple ranking option" variable.
For a quick "acid test", one usually should use the "Hotness Ranking Schedule"; eg: if you are an 8, you should generally only date other 8's or maybe a 7/6 if you have insecurity issues.
Katy, is around an 8. Especially when she is not wearing a Smurf Dress...
Russell features a lot lower on the Hotness scale (unless you are really into *cough* that), and would probably reach to a 4.5 max!
If one had taken into account the "Global Popularity" rating; then the match is really laughable! ("Who IS Russell Brand?", "What does he ACTUALLY do?" whereas everyone knows "I kissed a girl and I liked it"!)
The lesson here chaps; be careful who you marry. Divorce is messy (unless you rank 8 on the "Hotness" scale and 0 on the "Minted" scale).
