On the market...

I had the pleasure of seeing Mrs Smith on Friday for lunch and gossip in Borough Market. We had a lot of fun making sure she was suitably relaxed for her flight that evening - by drinking New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, French Viognier, and quaffing Champagne (note: not bubbles, this sh*t was gen-you-wine! But I still favour ZAR bubbles... Such a patriot!)

The market is not for those on diet. The sights and smells are far too tempting and firstly led us to a stand where we purchased and quickly consumed a chorizo roll (with red pepper and rocket) - yummers!

After that we walked past a fudge stand and promptly ordered 40/40/20 of rock salt, honeycomb and stem ginger fudge (as percentages of 200gm which confused the attendant no end... This was post wine and pre-champagne!)
Soooooo good! It was especially great to get to see someone from home... *sniff*
I miss everyone too much. I know the Biscuit Mill Market or Stellies Market isn't quite up to the standard of the famous London Borough Market, but it is remembered fondly for the time spent there with friends. As is Cape Town in its entirety. I am going to have a lot of fun on my visit home, going to all my favourite haunts and having a laugh with my besties.

A reflective,
Mandy
